A three-storey villa in Cidadap, North Bandung, told from 10 of its public Airbnb listing photos. It is a mockup, not a client project. The story is one stay for a group: arrive at dusk, warm water in cool air, a loft to play in, and the house lit up at night.

The idea

The listing already holds the story: a timber-decked jacuzzi below a green slope, a billiard loft with tall glass walls, and room for ten guests. So the film does not tour room by room. It follows one stay: arrive, soak, eat together, play upstairs, rest. The closing line, in Indonesian, says it in one breath: cold Bandung air, and everything warm is inside.

Why it looks this way

One stay, in order

The shots follow a single visit: arrival at the facade, the jacuzzi and pool, the living room, dinner, the loft, two bedrooms, then the house at night. There is no voice-over and no text over the footage. Images, order and music carry the story, closed by one line on a black screen.

Listing photos as reference, not as the first frame

The listing photos went to the video model as references for the architecture, materials and views, not as frames to animate. Each shot was written from a new viewpoint. The listing photo shows pool and jacuzzi together; the film drops to water level and circles the jacuzzi.

The view stays as it is

From the loft windows you see what the listing shows: neighbouring roofs, trees and low hills. No tea fields, mountains, thick fog or people were added. Photos built around branded items, such as the TV and the games console, were left out, and the one screen in view stays dark.

Light: what the film shows

The film opens under a golden dusk sky and ends on the house lit at night. In between, the jacuzzi, the pool and most rooms keep the daylight of their listing photos, because the video model tends to follow the light of its reference. The plan was a slow move into evening; the lesson is to check the light segment by segment.

Bedrooms: see it before you renovate

The shared rooms already have a look: sage sofa, light oak, a rattan hanging chair. The bedrooms are plain white. Each bedroom photo was first remade as a straight-on, professional-style photo, then restyled twice on that base, so both styles share one camera.

Kept true to the place

Every room, its materials and its furniture follow the listing photos.
The view: neighbouring houses, trees and the green slope, as in the photos. No tea fields, mountains or thick fog.
No people, no readable logos, every screen dark.
In the renovation preview, the windows, door, air conditioner, floor and room size stay, and so do the guest touches on the beds: towel swans, rose petals and rolled towels.
The film ends with listing photo 01 beside a frame from the video, so you can compare.
